Reclaiming Esoteric Lineages in Healing and Wholeness for Contemporary Biodynamic Practice and Perception- a Four-Day Intensive in Two Parts
with Michael Dunning, RCST®/dip CSPTS
Embedded in a cultural milieu where instantly available information and easily acquired knowledge can eclipse direct and long-term experience, how do we, as biodynamic practitioners ensure that the core principles at the heart of our work continue to evolve as living principles in our biodynamic perception and session work? Where do we look for reliable guidance and legitimate sources of inspiration in a vast sea of competing theories and ideas about health and wellness? What about the sources that inspired the elders in our profession? Are those sources still valid today?
As an explorer of the esoteric, Michael found himself looking to the Hermetic-Cabalistic tradition of the Renaissance for answers to these questions. He soon discovered that this tradition had preserved a significant amount of ancient mystery knowledge for modern times. Visionaries such as Agrippa, Dee, Fludd, Paracelsus and later on, Swedenborg – to name a few –left a rich legacy of ideas and principles pertaining to wholeness and healing. This mystery knowledge is thought to have influenced the later work and ideas of Sutherland, especially in his insights around the function of the cerebrospinal fluid/CSF and in his discovery of the liquid light.
Inspired by Sutherland’s injunction to “dig-on,” Michael will present key aspects of the esoteric embryology and physiology bequeathed by these Renaissance and post-Renaissance mystics. Focusing on the brain ventricles, the CSF and the heart, Michael will offer a range of practical and perceptual approaches – drawing from both classical and biodynamic craniosacral modalities – to help us reclaim these esoteric ideas and sensibilities for our daily biodynamic practice and perception.
Day 1 & Day 2:
An exploration of the esoteric embryology and physiology of the brain ventricles and the CSF.

Day 3 & 4:
